A Common Sense Approach for America
About Me

I want to personally welcome you to this exciting journey we're about to take together. I’m a proud father, a dedicated educator, and a passionate advocate for justice and equity—and I’m running for the United States House of Representatives.. For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching Civics and World History in the public school system helping young minds understand how the world works and how their government should work for them. Before that, I spent a decade coaching football at Winston-Salem State University, shaping not only athletes but future leaders. My passion for teaching goes hand in hand with my desire to create change—real, lasting change—one student, one classroom, and now, one community at a time.. My daughters are my greatest inspiration. As a single father, I’ve learned firsthand the importance of investing in the future of our children. Through their eyes, I’ve come to better understand the need for social justice and the urgency of ensuring a more equitable future. The challenges they face today drive me to stand up—not only for them but for every family in our district who deserves a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow. This campaign is about all of us. It’s about building a government that listens, learns, and leads with compassion and common sense. It’s about making sure our voices are not only heard but respected. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about who I am and what I stand for. I hope to earn your support on March 5th. Together, let’s shape a future our children will be proud to inherit. With gratitude and hope, Marcus Pearson Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives

Education
The education in America means putting students first by focusing on strong academics, supporting great teachers, and ensuring every child—regardless of zip code—has access to a high-quality education. That starts with teaching the basics like reading, math, and civics without political agendas, raising teacher pay, promoting career and technical education, and holding all schools accountable for results. It's about practical solutions, not bureaucracy—so every student can succeed in the classroom and beyond.
National Security
Protecting our nation means more than just military strength—it means preparing for the threats of today and tomorrow. We need to strengthen cyber defenses, safeguards critical infrastructure, and ensures our armed forces are equipped for modern challenges. We need to secure our borders with smart, effective policies, invest in intelligence and counterterrorism, and protect Americans from emerging threats like disinformation and cyberattacks. By rebuilding global alliances and prioritizing resilience at home, we can keep America safe, strong, and prepared for whatever comes next.
Economy
We will strengthen America’s economy by unleashing innovation, investing in infrastructure, supporting small businesses, and creating good-paying jobs—without burdening consumers or businesses with harmful tariffs. Our approach focuses on expanding access to new markets, boosting American competitiveness through smart policy, and building resilient supply chains at home. By fostering fair competition and reducing unnecessary costs, we can grow the economy from the bottom up and the middle out—making prosperity achievable for every American.
Immigration
We need a smarter, stronger, and more compassionate approach to immigration and border security. That means investing in 100% scanning technology at ports of entry to stop fentanyl and other dangerous drugs before they reach our communities—because technology is more effective than a wall. It means giving Customs and Border Protection the resources, training, and pay they deserve, so they can do their jobs safely and effectively. It means finally creating a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and long-term residents who have contributed to our country, paid taxes, and built their lives here. And it means hiring more judges and staff to clear the asylum backlog, ensuring fairness and efficiency in our immigration system. This is a balanced plan that keeps our nation safe, honors our values, and secures our future.
